Car vs Tractor Trailer
Author:Safety Officer Chris Kennedy
Tue, Jan 12th, 2010 12:48:00 pm - At 12:48pm, the Gap Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident involving a tractor trailer at 5081 Lincoln Hwy.  Deputy 4-2 (Wenger) arrived on location, assumed command, and reported a tractor trailer versus a car with blocking.  Rescue 4-2 responded with a crew of 6, with the Engine and Squad responding shortly thereafter.  Upon arrival, Rescue 4-2 assisted with patient care, de-powering of the vehicle, and fluid control.  Due to the mechanism of injuries, the roof had to be removed to extricate the patient.  Additional fire police from Station 4-5 and 5-2 were summoned to assist with traffic control.  Crews remained on location for about 2 hours
